THIS IS NO JOKE: If you're on Subutex, Methadone or Suboxone, GET OFF NOW!!!!!!!!

how come no doctors really know what the long term side effects and the many actual DAMAGEs to the body subutex does?? I stayed on it for about 10 years and it was the most HORRIFIC detox that I almost died. I encourage EVERYONE to (if you're already on it)-GET OFF OF IT, or you're just gonna make the detox harder and harder with time...and if you're thinking about getting PUT on it, THINK AGAIN!!!!! I would LOVE to go around EDUCATING DOCTORS about how HORRIBLE this medication is. I am about to face the dentist in an hour and am MORTIFIED to do so because I have METH-MOUTH. (funny thing is, I NEVER DID METH!!). It's ALL FROM SUBUTEX and how it just sits in your bones and builds up over time and seems to EAT away your bone marrow and rapes your body of calcium. And the refuse of medication that just sits rotting your bones makes a later "appearance" in the show whenever it is you decide to detox. That's when it comes PURGING out of every single pore of your body as well as through your TEETH!! (just like the bones in your body). It has been FOUR MONTHS and my body STILL aches UNIMAGINABLY, I am in a constant state of Incredibly INTENSE anxiety, frustration and impatience. I don't wanna EVER get out of bed and face the world, even though I Must...Feels like groundhog day because it never changes. I wake up everyday in intense agony. And all over my body my skin has broken out in "PLAGUE-like" Acne-some places CYSTIC. (my body is detoxifying from the outside in) I don't WANNA leave my house because I feel like a monster. like I'm CURSED. This medication is THE DEVIL. It NEVER WANTS U OFF OF IT, it grabs ahold of your SOUL and never EVER lets go. (until you get FORCED to(the law/jail)or you just get so SICK of taking a godamm PILL every morning just to feel like the rest of the human race does when they wake up. It is hell on Earth, and you are absolutely INSANE if you stay on this med after reading this!!! THIS IS NO JOKE!!!! Email me if you want me to GO ON even!! ***@****

I tried Suboxone about 8 years ago. It caused intense instant migraine and vomiting. It was HORRIBLE. I’ll never try that stuff again. And yes, it was prescribed for withdrawal, I wasn’t using it recreationally.
Its the naloxone, tell your dr naloxone gives you headaches and they should switch you to subutex.
I use Kratom now, I’ll never use a medication like Suboxone or anything again.
Yes, Kratom is awesome. Wait though, the govt will schedule that too. They don't want anything out there that can help anyone with anything. I am surprised caffeine isn't scheduled. Alcohol is worse than a lot of the scheduled drugs.

Been on a steady dose of 16mg for the last 4 years and come off it twice previously before that by tapering. It helped me get off Smack & Methadone in 2004 by making things far more comfortable in detox. Not used smack since then however have had probs with Codeine on and off.

They say 'less is more' with this stuff and can't wait to start coming down off it because am getting anxious/worried about the effects it seems like it's had on my bones/insides/brain tbh? Find it like an 'Opiatey' steroid or something + get very angry at times. Almost feels like have taken 'Phet' because talk lots, feel like cleaning 24/7 etc etc!! Am also permanently red in the face though my BP is usually normal!

But anyway don't think I would have reached 40 without it and doesn't take a rocket scientist to know the damage I've done to myself abusing Class A/B/C drugs etc....! See all my old mates (ones that are left) still stuck on smack looking old with swollen filthy hands, grey hair, fed up etc and glad haven't been sticking a needle in my groin anymore every day like certain associates!! 365 times a year (at least) inserting a needle down below = I dread to think how would have been.... Let alone FELT.

(However know easy it is to relapse so will try and keep things in the day as NA say)

Cheers for all these posts.... Just to say when come off it before have had minimal withdrawals when tapering slowly however did suffer a nocturnal seizure in detox the last time from 12mg, but reckon they did it too quickly & do suffer with 'Opiate Induced Epilepsy' so hardly surprising really... When off the stuff before have had these weird shakes/shudders, sneezing finally returns and get nervous though feel like that on it anyway tbh..

Nice 1/Respected..

Yes, Valerian Root is a very good choice for use during particularly the dangerous acute phase of a benzo w/d, due to (as previously stated) the fact that it has GABAergic activity.  In fact I argue its very smart to use at such a time, albeit in a controlled manner.  Abrupt and overly rapid benzodiazepine detox is one of the most dangerous and stupid things to do.  The brain goes into a state of such shock over disequilibrium and it can cause, aside from the known risk of seizures, a grand slew of perhaps permanent or at least years long mental issues.  I know of this from my own experience, btw.  I was rapidly taken off of a 3mg.day Kpin Rx (in 2 days, no substitue long acting benzo used) and suffered a withdrawal that made a previous severe opiate w/d seem like a walk in the park.  I reccomend Valerian Root EXTRACT (~3-5x the recco dose) and Ashwaghana EXTRACT KSM 66 to 5% withanolides as a base and minumum stack.  Kava Kava is also quite useful to add if one can.  I don't endorse daily use of these (aside from the ash) but ~4 nights a week and trust me it just might save your sanity and also GREATLY IMPROVE your odds at a succesful full quit.  Cheers guys, good luck.  Much love to all you

Very insightful and nice to see someone thinking for themselves and not put others down and all on the same "level". Nor  the same situation.
Thanks for having your own thoughts.

Hi and welcome to the forum....first off I am not a fan of sub or methadone  it is over prescribed these days for people with low or moderate habits......if you compare the detox from these drugs you will find them much more difficult to stop....with that said I do believe there is a place for them...if your slamming a needle in your arm or eating pills like M AND M's it can truly be a life saver....it will put your addiction on hold and give you time to work on the problem's that have got you into this in the first place  I always recamend the N/A progam it is free the meetings are only a hour long and it will help you fix the train wreck your life has become in active addiction  both sub and methadone in conjunction with a good aftercare progam is defiantly a way to treat this disease that has a very high success rate  without it your odds are less then 10%  if you have questions please feel free to ask.......Gnarly

Yeah just ignore all those whiners who need suboxone, methadone or subutex to get off opiates. Once those meds came out they make heroin, oxy's etc different now and all you have to do is " pull yourself up by your bootstrap's and man up". Try it and see how it works out for ya. Keep in mind the ones who go crying to a doctor with that "it's going to kill me, I cannot stop on my own" are just weak and looking for another high.
