WTF is wrong with me (people with valium experience knowledge)

I have taken valium a few years ago along with many other benzos, not to an extent of abuse I would say though. I have a history of drug abuse ranging from 14 starting with weed up until now at the age of 22. I have basically taken everything besides heroin and crack.

I have been taking valium for about 8 weeks now, I started off with 40 MG a day and at one point was on 400MG a day. Yesterday I took 70MG as I am tapering and was fine, today I was a little depressed and took 100MG, however, I felt as if I had taken nothing at all.....

Ting, it may be the way you are reporting your "taper" on here & I can see that you are well intentioned but it seems more like make it up as you go along rather than a scientifically based schedule.

It's now known that benzo receptors are tricky things & a lot of study & experience has gone into, for example, Dr Ashton's taper schedules.   If you are determined to do this without medical supervision, please at least check out Dr Ashton's website for some guidance.  A mg here or there does make all the difference when it comes to benzos.

Best wishes.

Seriously you are mixing alcohol with benzos then your breathing rate slows and your brain sends a shock to your lungs or heart and it wakes you up. I'm no doctor but there is your zap sensation. Please don't kill yourself with this sillyness.

I have been waking up feeling cold and feverish for about 20 minutes each morning, but this morning I woke up shivering and shaking, feeling as if I may be sick, so I took 6MG of xanax straight away. Maybe I have tapered too fast, I don't know

vicki 595 is so right, you need to taper very ,very slowly. especially with xanax as was said in an earlier post it has a shorter half life, and drs do use vallium to taper off benzos.
if you lower the doses by a tiny amount each week , the withdrawals will be minimal.
this is how my doctor got me to do when i was in your situation, it took a long time but i got there and doing it this way helped me to stay off benzos. i kept a record of my doses so i didnt get muddled and helped me not to take erratic doses, as thats no good for you, i really wish you well!
