The more time you put between the present and the last time you used, the better it gets. Detox time is just a fraction of the length of time we used. You're doing good! Great you're heading out to the movies for a diversion, good idea. I think by work tomorrow night things will be much better than today.
It might be time to start thinking about aftercare programs and what's right for you. The physical dependence or addiction to the drug will sneak up on you at any time and its a good idea to be ready for it with a good program of recovery going. Wish you the best!!!
Hang in there Done. I know it's rough when the wd's are going full force...but they will end, and with time, the mental aspect will heal too. Each day will get a little easier. Granted, you will have some bad days. That happens when we're clean or using, but as a few wise ones say on here- the good days always outweigh the bad. The worst days when you are clean are still better than any day using.
When I felt like that, kind of 'over it' as you mentioned above, I would think back to when I was using. Broke, full of despair, afraid to run out, going through the motions of life but really only living for one high to the next...it was no way to live. Jeeze- talk about things 'getting old?!' ;-)
Sorry, but I don't recall - how long have you been using? What meds and how many a day?
Thank you, I'm hanging :-(
Congratulations on your days. Ya!!! Just hang tight. Time is the Greatest Healer. It WILL get better.
Bless
