Has anyone gotten through WD without anyone knowing

Have 4 days left of taper. Feeling ok just more worry than anything else. Holidays coming and will be constantly surrounded by family while I am going through the worst of it. Has anyone here been in the same situation ? It's terrifying me. Any words of advice would be helpful. Thank you all. Blessings

Count- I bet you can't remember the last time you felt empowered by anything. Flush those last few and you will feel empowered. You are dragging an anchor around your ankle. Why? If you leave it up to your brain as to when you are comfortable enough to be ready, the answer is never. Get out of your comfort zone. Your comfort zone has lead you here. Flush them now.

Hi  I agree with M/S  the anxiety of quitting is getting to you  and like others have said your only prolonging the withdrawal at this point  time to baton down the hatches drop the sails and get ready for  the storm  also like others said your already experiencing withdrawals it probable wont be any worst when you jump  it is always worst in our minds then it turns out to be....have you stocked up on ez meals a case of gatoraid and epsom salts yet??/ if not do so  for most people the world does not stop because your dope sick....try to gather yourself together a positive attitude is a must for doing this  keep us posted where all here for you........Gnarly

You have nothing to fear but fear itself. Your addict brain (we all have one) is begging you...one more day, now is not good, maybe tomorrow, things to do, places to go, people to see. Listen to me. You are already in w/d. It will not be much worse than it is right now. Do you want a 5 day w/d or a 10 day w/d? Its your choice I guess.

Yes. I have. Tell them you have the flu. It is flu season.  Take one immodium when the runs start and motrin for the body aches. Take that damn 4 day supply and flush it down the toilet. You are already in withdrawal if you are shaking, baking and weepy. Get in a hot epsom salt bath and stay in bed a day or two. By Friday you'll be fine and I bet Christmas will be quite magical.  All you are doing is prolonging the suffering. Hurry up! Santa's coming.

PS. The 4 people I live with, never did find out.

Keep in mind this is only my opinion. I think you're psyching yourself out with the taper. Like I mentioned before, the thought of quitting caused me more anxiety than the actual quitting. Like you, I still had pills left. I went cold turkey off ms contin. I could have done it without anyone knowing and just claimed I had the flu or something but I told my mom because it was so much better having someone knowing what I was going thru and able to tell me to get up and walk cause I had told her it would make me feel better. If you're worried about the physical withdrawals ending by a certain time maybe you should consider jumping now. Like I said, just my opinion. You gotta do what works for you, but think about it because you're just adding 4 more days of worry. Good luck. Like gnarly says, it's 2/3 mental.

Thanks so much. I might try to jump tomorrow. Ugh. Just gotta keep myself busy and if I need to buckle down for the first few days I will have to do that. I will check in tomorrow , or later. Thanks again
