Will this "clean high" come down?

Didn't know what else to title it. This is day 10 for me clean and life is terrific! I feel like I'm high on LIFE alone. I woke up and went to church with hubby, which starts at 9am. I haven't been to church in months, bcause I wanted to sleep til after 12, instead. It felt so good be able tho do that this morning! My house is spotless. I enjoy playing with my 3 yr old daughter. We talk walks, go to the park, etc. I haven't felt this kinda good with NO pills in probably 2 years!I wonder though, if this a high, because I'm just so proud of myself and enjoying my new life....but will it changes? Or does it get bette? Does this get even better? Stay the same, or what? Does that make sense?

i think you are refering to a "pink cloud" thats what most people call it, and no it does not last but the good news is that it will come back, maybe not as intense
alot of people feel like a kid on xmas during the first few months of recovery, once the newness wears off the pink goes away and you are left on the ground to live life with out drugs possible for the first time in years
the best way to avoid relaspe after your cloud burst is to start working the steps, also i found it helpful to learn as much as i could about post acute wd
another name for pink cloud is treatment high, i am sure there are med journals about this syndrome, it can be a problem for some people, they feel so good for a few weeks after detox and come crashing down so hard they are not prepared
the pink clound syndrome usually happens to those people who are on their first journey of recovery, a patient who has been in and out of detox does not report this phenomenon often, not sure why

Being clean is awesome and I can relate to the "high" you are feeling, I shared a similar experience.  Like avisg said, you will have your ups and downs.  About 13 days into recovery, I got mad for something silly and could not understand why I felt so worked up.  My first thought was to use because that's what I used to do, but that was not an option, so I had to stop and work throught the anger and learn to feel again.  I am only 66 days clean and have a long way to go, but the support on this site and other forms of therapy an support help to keep me clean.
