Oh just saw you had this post going too. I think if you're having bad thinking then take a bit more. Atleast until you talk to your doctor. Don't go to quickly with your taper because then it can back fire. If tapering is the route you're going to do then you need to do it properly and not feel really uncomfortable. So wait and see what doc says.

I understand about the pain as you go down. I found that after years of taking them they actually turned on me. I am glad youa re asking the doctor for help. I hope he understands and will help you. I am sorry hub but we cannot give out taper advise on this site. As I said earlier, we can support you through this. So let us know what happened with the doctor.

Hi & Welcome,

Your doctor has you on Lortab & Methadone? That is odd and I don't know what he was thinking. In any case your best bet is to be honest with your doctor and tell him you want to get off of the medications. Ask him for a proper taper schedule to help you.

Tapers are tough and are often not successful because of the temptation. So any help from the doctor would be good. The taper should be done slowly to avoid a hard withdrawal.

Also, what are your plans for your pain issues? You should have a plan in place before coming off of the pills. Many relapses occur with no future plan for pain mngt.

We can be here to support you through this and recommendation home remedies that may help to ease the process so stick around.
