my name is newgirl and i have an addiction.... ;)
Good point, bmc. Thanks. This place has been a life saver for me.
Hey, I would rather have a addiction such as this forum, exercise, or working overtime than being back on opiates! But like it said about exercise for example, you may not always have the time for it. And if you don't have the time it could lead to a relapse. I'll take my chances with stuff like that though! I just thought it was interesting and I think it makes some sense.
Thankfully, I can't get on here at work. The computer nazis monitor our internet usage. Addiction is addiction. At least this one has helped me.
my thoughts too persnick...i am on here at work all day and then when i get home lol as they say addiction is addiction is addiction
I seriously think this forum has become a new addiction for me. I can't say it's all bad b/c I have received so much support and encouragement here to help me get off these pills, but I have found that I am spending huge amounts of time on here.
Thanks for giving me something to think about. Probably need to set some limits for myself - an try to follow them.
I thought it was very interesting. I thought it brought points up that can be overlooked. I just thought it brought up other things that seem to have nothing to do with addiction, or at least so we thought.
I am CISM trained conseller ( cridical incedent stress managment) and Combat operational stress managment trained did the courses in the army
Some interesting insight, with that post!
Love,
Todd
Thanks for posting that. I have to tell you that you have great information to share and I, for one, am so thankful that you share your wisdom. Have you thought about becoming an addictions counselor? I'm serious about that. The best usually have personal experience.
