the WD is difficult and a lot depends, as Astray said above, on how much and for how long you were using. For me the worst symptom for me was that restless feeling deep in your legs and body that wouldn't let me sleep at night.I had to keep squirming and moving. For me, I have a long history, was still having flu-like symptoms, chills, sweats, well into 24 days. Everyone is different.
You are doing great! Keep it up! You can message me if you want. I am in day 44 withdrawing from codeine. So I knew the experience.
Keep posting to us. Read the old posts and even if they are not withdrawing from codeine you can learn and identify with their experiences.
Try to keep your mind active even if your body feels horrible. I found that just staying on this site helped me the most. People here are wonderful.
You may get the trots, headache, moodswings, insomnia. All the symptoms bar the last two will probably peak around day 3 then suddenly improve. The insomnia and any neurological stuff often go on longer but how long varies from person to person.
Generally the longer you have taken something and then higher the dose the longer that stuff goes on, luckily a year isn't that long so hopefully you won't suffer too badly or too long.
aching legs ,lack of sleep and no real appetite in my expiereinc about a week, approx ask your doctor for a three day course of 5ml valium, they will take your mind of the withdrawal of the codiene.
but not get you hooked on valium ,diazepam, being only for three days. tell the receptionist that yes it is important,
hope this helps you
until the doctors is open tommorow, try a couple off ibrubrufen,
