So glad you're feeling better, and you do have a therapist and a psychiatrist working with you, so you'll be fine, not everyone can afford one on one therapy but you can.  Keep working with your doctors, you're already doing better! I'm very happy for you.

I am not sure where everyone is from but where I am from the groups NA, and AA are open to anyone whether they are using or detoxing either way everyone is heard. Anyways just remember everyone we are all different and go through detox different from one another so emotions are high and out of whack its easy to take text offensively. I think everyone has great ideas here but we should be supporting one another certainly not going against. We are all here with the same goals!

Thanks selfinduced. I am hunting for those success stories now. Thanks everyone for the support. It really feels like I have a chance of getting passed all of this now. And it is largely due to the help from everyone on here, I can't thank you enough.
I didn't mean to cause any misunderstandings IBKleen, please understand I am trying to work in one direction and that is getting better and I need all of the honest and POSITIVE advice I can get. I appreciate all of your posts in the past as well and I know you have my best interest at heart. Thanks, Randy

Wow Randy, from where I sit,IBK has given you wonderful, honest advice and has been hand holding you for awhile now with all her wisdom and support. It's sad you can't understand.

You do need to listen though. IBK was simply telling you what everyone else who has gone to AA already knows. It was not an attack or meant to suggest you weren't good enough. Every organization or business has a model with their acceptable practices. It's how the world works.

Randy.  It sounds like you've made some informed decisions with your docs.  Only you and they know what's best for you and I pray this is your answer.  You sound awesome and that's important.  The mental part is key.  I'll only speak for myself however I see my role is to listen, allow you to vent, offer advice when we think we have it and cheer your journey on. And that I will continue to do.  In the end, you know what today and tomorrow and next week holds is all up to you.  I wish you well on this. Sincerely.  Your rollercoaster ride has been quite a bumpy one.  Maybe it's coming in for a smooth coast now.  I pray for that.
