im going for a gastric by pass surgury and having the roulon roux, how long does it take to clear my system from nicotine, and what are the complications of it? i have one month to go and im real nervous

I have had the surgery however, I was not a smoker but, one of my close friends in our support group was and they advised not to smoke for at least 7days pre- surgery.  I am very happy for you and I am a supporter of ther surgery.  It saved my life and was the only reason I was able to have children.  I wish you the best of luck with the NEW you and your NEW life!  Good Luck

Hi there...this is not the gastric bypass forum so unfortunately we would not be able to help you out with that. Also, on the nicotine...you may want to google that not too sure. If you click on forums on the top of the screen I believe there is a forum for weight loss surgeries and I believe you would get alot more responses there!
