Roxie, loratab withdrawal

Hey guys! Let me start by saying I'm on my 2nd day of withdrawal from opiates, mainly roxies and tab 10's. I started taking tabs about year and half ago, but of course after a year those were not good enough. I was introduced to roxie 30's about 6 months ago. Of course once I started those the tabs sucked,familiar cycle anyone? The weird thing was I would never do more then 45mg of the roxies daily. I would snort that 45mg, immediate euphoria. I never knew this would become me. I'm tired of this life, a stupid pill controlling my every thought. My family does not know about this addiction, I have a beautiful wife and 2year old son. I guess they are the reason I only was doing 45mg a day. I had bills and stayed somewhat responsible during this addiction. But every extra dollar wa spent on pills. ...My question since I was only taken 45mg of this crap, will my withdrawal be short?. I'm day 2 low energy ,but taking Thomas receipe. I have not had runs yet, still waiting. Bad cravings, going to work tomorrow with no pills will be a challenge. Pray for me, this is my 2nd time trying to quit.

Just hang in there. The next couple of days are going to be rough which I'm sure you already know .I never phantomed these pills could take a person over either..

hey there, im on day 15 and feel pretty good, if you are anything like me your first 4 or 5 days are hell, but it wont kill you, I was taking 25 percs a day and quit cold turkey, its amazing what you see when youre sober, stuff you never noticed befire, I also have a wife and 3 kids that are under 5, just keep thinking of them and make sure you tell your wife what you are doing, just telling her was a weight off my shoulders and when I was goin through withdrawl she was there to help cuz I was honest with her, I have severe back issues so I take it one day at a time with some Aleve,

Thanks guys. Was day 1 and 2 worse then 3 and 4? I'm staying strong, just told a dealer I did not want anything before work tomorrow. First challenge passed.  

For some reason I don't feel to bad. I think the Thomas receipe is helping. You guys are making this much easier for me. I'm ready a lot of post. Day 3 here I come, just hoping I don't wake up in bad mood.

Typical pattern is that day one isn't too bad, then a steady decline through days 2-5, followed by gradual improvement.

day four seems to be the worst....day five is when you start to feel better like longerdays said

Usually day 3 and 4 are the worst.  Are you going to check into some type of recovery care?

I am on a taper. I took a stab at it a couple of months ago and really failed miserably. I have, however, gone ct from tremendous amounts. No mincing of words here-it sucked. I didn't have this site though, no Thomas recipe, no true understanding of how this worked etc. My worst wd was off of methadone, ct. Anyway-enough about me! I just wanted to say I wish you luck, I admire you and you are very wise to talk with others on this site. They are incredible people.

DAY 3 - This addiction I think is moving on I hope. I woke up and actually felt pretty good. I did not have that "do I have any pills to take" thought and I actually woke up with my mind not so cloudy. Wish me luck everyone,off to work. I will update everyone soon.

Quick update, day 3 is in the books. Actually got a burst of energy. Will day 4 be hard? Since I was only.taking up t 40mg of rosy or tabs, is the worse over?

What happens after day 4? Do I start feeling normal. I told my wife about my problem, she is supporting me. She was pissed I was spending $300-$400 a month on pills.

You can do it rick. One day at a time. I wish i had your BALLS!! Iv been on meds for years with pack pain/ surgery. Im in the same boat....my secret....no extra $. Tired of it, want to try to stop...but have tried too many times with sickness i cant even begin to describe. My problem is.....is that i love those damn pills so much and how they make me feel, i dont know if i want to go through life without them! I give you alot of respect rick....i hope u kick um and the best of luck!!

Day 4 - I had,my worst sleep since I quit using. Felt like I was having panic attacks. Just sucked last night. I'm off to work, don't feel too bad. Hope everyone is doing good.

Teddy - You can do it also,.I loved these pills with the best of them. My dad and mom take pills, just want a different life then them. I was buying most of my pills of the street, no real medical condition. Try a tamper and laxitive before cold turkey, that's what I did. Seems to have worked. The laxitive flushed out some.toxins not all. I pulling for you bro.

yeah... things go better but...and it is a big "but" don't think it is done...there are still physical symptons like lack of sleep, energy, RLS ...and of course, the mental symptons, the mental battle is really hard...like the anxiety you have already experienced tonight...maybe some valerian root can help you here . I don't know if you are taking any medicines....Also the healthier you live now, the better.... exercise, a very healthy diet... are you taking vitamins and aminos ? they are a big help now .... keep working on your recovery, Rick :)

@Laurel I am on the Thomas receipe along with muscle milk to help with recovery. I am not taking anything for sleep, I hate taking drozy mess. I think I will be fine. I have been walking and lifting weights, this helps.  Last night was a set back, I knew this was going to good. I took some ecederin around 8, that might have not been a good idea.

My wife said she will leave me if I use again. This is,my only option to stay clean. My mind is not cloudy anymoe, so that's great. Just feel like I'm getting back to normal. The pyscho part does scare me, but I have had many cravings
