20 year addiction to codeine.....now 21 days clean

I am 21 days clean and  in withdrawal from codeine addiction of 20 years. I have not taken anything except a multi-vitamin. My question is.....how long are the headaches and muscle and bone pain going to last?.
Thank you

There's always the possibility that you've picked up a virus and it's totally unrelated. You'll know if you remain this way.

Can you take aspirin?   I know about the Tylenol. But,just know that after we've been off the pain meds,OTC's tend to work really well.

You'll see~

I also had a 20 year addiction to codeine and my muscular aches lasted probably 6 to 8 weeks,I did find the gym helped believe it or not,I was worse when not active.

Thank you so much for the reply. Honestly I thought that things would be improving by now as well. Unfortunately, I am allergic to NSAIDS and I am afraid taking tylenol will fuel my addiction, and relapse. After taking the tylenol in combination w/ codiene, I find tylenol no long works for any aliment. I am going to try my best to tough it out. I was just curious if anyone else, had withdrawal symptoms last this long with no improvement? I feel as bad today as I did on day one.....:(

Honestly,it should be getting better. Go ahead and take some Motrin 800mg or some Tylenol extra strength.

Be sure you're getting enough fluids and eating. Your blood sugar could be low.

Hot baths will really help the bone and muscle pain.
