hi i am 27 and i cant spell  so sorry . but i have been takeing pain pills  on and off for about  7 years and i cant take it  no more but i am scard to stop. i need help

Hi sweetie glad you found this site. We are all here to help you in any way we can.  Will you please give us a little more info about what your are on, how long, how you got to this point, why you want to quit?  The more info we have the better we can help you.  Have you tried to stop before or is this the first time?  We are here to help and I dont mean to be nosey I just want to help you.  We will help you here

It's a nightmare, isn't it?  I can remember being on the couch, staring at the ceiling, thinking "Oh my God, HOW did this happen?"  

I was so stuck.  

It didn't seem like there was any way out, except maybe killing myself.

The only thing that seemed less possible that using like I was using, was not using.

There is life after using.  Really good life.  For me, and many others I know in recovery, it's a life that's better than ever before.

You do need help.  Early recovery is no time to be a lone ranger.  I happen to think in-patient rehab is great (I did it twice), but many people get clean and sober with AA and/or NA.  

Stop keeping secrets.  Your secrets are keeping you sick.
