I'm sure you can find stories from people either way, but honestly, you cannot necessarily relate that to YOUR specific situation. It's very good that all seems okay at this point, but I still think you should be honest with your docs about the sub. There may be specific testing your doc may want to do that she's not doing because she isn't aware of the the entire situation.
I just worry constantly and have looked up so much info on this subject. But i have yet to come across a pregnant mom that stopped early in pregnancy and all was well.
I have been to the doc. Haven't told him but I have had 2 ultrasounds claiming cramps and pain. Both the ultrasounds were good with strong fetal heartbeat.
Oh ya sorry. I'd assumed you did a sub taper with doc. Get in to the doc and explain ASAP. There is a risk of miscarriage if you're still having w/d's.
Congrats on your pregnancy!
I would definitely recommend having a very honest talk with your OB about this, just to be sure all of your bases are covered. The first trimester is such a critical time, your doc needs to know, to check your health and that of the baby, and also to ease your mind!
Best to you!
Thank you. All I hear is people saying don't stop that it will hurt the baby worse. I really would like to hear from a mom who stopped early in pregnancy and everything turned out ok. Something to ease my worries.
I was taking then as prescribed. Never abused them. No the suboxone was given by a friend and thank god for it. I have some withdrawal symptoms as in cold all the time and so restless and I can't sleep. I will never take then again. My baby is so much more important. I just hear all this talk about possible miscarriage when you quit.
But to flat out answer your question,I think baby will be fine.
Was the sub given to you by a doctor? Are you experiencing wd's?
Did you do this under doc supervision? First off congrats on stopping!! Were you taking the trams as prescribed of abusing them? I'm sure all will be fine if you stay off all meds from now on out. Are you in aftercare?
