well Im now down to 1/8th of 0.2mg pill twice a day, so you would think that it would be easier now to quit now, so do you think its the right time to stop?

I have been on suboxone for about a year, I started taking 5,0.2 a day, before suboxone I was taking up tp 200 mgs of oxys and percs a day. I started tapering off suboxne about 4 months ago and this is where Im at now. 1/8th of 0.2 suboxone twice a day

heyy  i'm on day 8 of no sub and I must say the WDs for me were not bad at alllll, nothing like I thought it would be! It was soo much mental and hardly any physical symptoms. days 2 and 3 were the worst but bearable I was still able to work and stay busy.  Right now I'm feeling great and have been for the past 2 days so I guess they were over by day 6?

I had been taking sub for 6-8 months, tapered and I jumped at .25 (after 5 days at that) did the thomas recipe (minus the benzos) and stayed as hydrated as possible with gatorade, and just kept posting on MH, i believe all that helped so much.  before the subs I was taking atleast 3 oxy 80's a day if I couldn't get my hands on more.  This was just my experience quitting and was nothing at all comparable to the horror storries I read and freaked myself out with before I did!

I think you can do it!

But back then I never got addicted to anything from coke to downers, but oxys were the exception and suboxone too!! again I''ll be talking with you guys and keep ya updated!!!!!!!!!

awesome plan man!

and doghound is so right about the 3 day thing (for me it was kind of day 2ish)

it's NOTHING like CT from oxy or an equivalent, it's not even comparable, it was almost like the WDs had a plateau day 2-3-4 stayed about the exact same with no worsening effects so i guess onthe end of day 2 I had a piece of mind on what I was in for, unlike opiates where your flippin out about tomorrow knowing it's going to be even worse than the way you feel at that moment.

I mean it wasn't all roses, i had some ups and downs, but when that depressed feeling came "I don't think I can do this" I just told myself "20 minutes that's all this will last and It'll be back to bearable" and it always did get better! bupe seems like such a mind game but you can do it and than you never have to do it again =) i sure don't want to!

shoot a message to HenryS354 (also detoxed from sub over a year ago) he helped me through it a TON and I owe him alot!  He knows ALOT about bupe and is a much better writer, unlike me if you can't already tell english isn't my greatest subject haha

WOO that's it! it's all attitude =D honestly it didn't take me no more than 30 minutes to fall asleep but I'm sure everyone's different, i used melatonin for sleep and Hylands restful legs to combat the RLS which is by far the worst physical sympton i think.. it's just ANNOYING! but i'd say the Hylands is a must it works so well for it oh and for a plus it comes in sublingual form so It kinda had a placebo effect i just pretended it was my sub dose =)

Im not sure what Hylands is, but I had RLS when I tried to get off oxys cold turkey!! But I do have clonidine to help if I need it.

Look at you man!

Already thinking about biting the bullet!!! I think you are going to find that bullet is softer than you think! :-)

Keep your head in the game, and look out at your final goal.  Imagine driving down a road to an awesome destination that you see on the horizon.... along the way you have to drive through some rough neighborhoods... Keep looking straight ahead at that amazing place, and you will barely notice all the trash along the way!

You can do this no problem, and will be soon joining Nick and I  in helping other members by sharing your success story!

I know its in the middle of the night, but post when you wake up, and let us know how you're doing!

Heres to pullin for ya!

Congrats man!!!

Just remember that a HUGE part of this is a mind game, one that YOU have a certain element of control over!  This is where recovery starts....  Our lives become unmanageable, and we begin to take control over again!  Its a very empowering feeling, take the confidence you have now, and run with it! :-)

Try and keep yourself busy.  I know it seems like such a simple task, but I found that working during my detox while not pleasant was one of the best things I could do for myself.  I think subbin would agree as he worked most days during his detox as well.  It really helps to keep the mind busy.

As far as cravings and anxiety attacks.... just remember that 20 minute rule.  If you can get through 20 minutes, most anxiety and craving episodes will be over! Tell yourself, "Just 20 more minutes man"

Post here often, telling us what you feel, and all about your awesome progress!

When it comes to withdrawal and detox, we as addicts tend to over analyze everything! just try to get back to basics and keep it simple, and take it from there.

:-)

Hey man =) sounds like you're still kickin! woo woo sorry I haven't wrote in a few days! work has been long and my suppose to be 3 day weekend turned into a no day weekend =O  You're doing so good, 72 hours!  At about that point when I was having a rough time I would just start thinking about how far i had come.  Try to be nothing but proud for yourself and to just look forward!  When you overcome one of those moments with no drug help it's such an amazing feeling just think HOLY **** that was all me, make sure to give yourself credit for everyyyy minute you are not using when times get rough because you know as well as I do every minute an addict like us are not using is a ****ing miracle in itself and we deserve that pat on the back from ourselves from time to time =)

As far as me goes I'm still taking everything in, the anxiety has subsided and I'm just feeling all around great!  I'll have my moments but who doesn't in this crazy *** world haha I guess i'm just trying to say it's sooooo worth it to go through what you're going through!  You're almost there! just keep chuggin =)

i'll be sure to keep checking MH!

Today is now better than ever, I feel so good and no symptons yet, I now believe that the ********ing WD's have subsided, Im on day 6 and its unbelievable that I can feel soooooooo good. I have been taking drugs off  and on for 38 years. I quit when I got remarried in 1994 but in 2004 I got hurt and had 3 level low back fusion and thats when the oxys begin and then I and torn lebrum and had knee surgeries so the oxys and the percs continued non stop since 2004 until I got on ********ing Suboxone in 2010 and thought there was no way to quit it!!!!! I tried a couple of times and failed! BUT then I weened down to 2 1/8 of a pill a day it took me only 6 ******ing days , Thanks to my new friends subbin and HenryS354 they gave me the confidence to do it and I did it, 6 days and Im feelinng soooooooF********ing great!!!! LIFE IS GOOD AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just want to reach out to anybody who has been having problems with suboxone!!! Im on day 11 and have neen feeling great since day 5 or 6, its not the EVIL WD's you might think they are, it's attitude, and like one of my MH  buddies says its bupe just F*****ING with you brain, but there are ways around it. I did not think I could do it after using it for over a year plus doing multiple drugs off and on for 38 yrs, it can be done, I FEEL GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!
