I haven't said much to my boss this morning. Of course he started yelling at me and at one point I said something and I thought for one brief moment he was going to hit me. I have 2 other jobs in the area I'm looking into.

Other than that I'm doing fine.

even though it is scary...once you are gone it will feel as if a weight has been lifted...and when one door closes, another opens...just think positive and remember - You do not deserve to be treatted this way.

Your boss is a complete ****... worse than that a bully and knows exactly the effect he/she has on people... i couldn't tell you what I would do in your situation - it's unprintable... in the meantime, so glad you are looking for another job - you need to get out of there... I on the other hand would have been arrested by now.. sorry, it just makes me angry...

You need to get this on camera, or at least record it. That kind of behavior needs to be reported. Even if you leave, and you should, do you want the next person to get yelled at too? Good luck with the job hunting.

wtf?  You're afraid your boss is going to hit you?  Last week I told my boss I was going through W/Ds and he was soooo supportive and happy to see me when I returned.  This is nuts!  You should be documenting all of this with dates and times.  You can safely quit I think and still file for unemployment benefits with reasonable grounds for quitting.  GL

You don't hear much about yelling bosses these days!  I would get out of there as soon as you can!  yikes.  Keep your head high and don't play in to it!  Good luck on getting something else.
