If possible, you have to try and stop focusing on not sleeping. Easy to say I know. It was the Mt. Everest in my recovery, but I just decided that only getting half way up the mountain is better than nothing. Try not to dwell on it. Relax...Good luck.
Took the benadryl at 3 pm...still can't sleep. Just feel groggy.
Congrats!!! FIGHT the good FIGHT!
Just got home & took 1 benedryl to start...hope it works!
Thanks guys...the support helps so much, as all of u already know. I'm still out with my parents...I ate a talapia wrap & some sweet potato fries. Then we went down to the river to feed the geese...that was nice. I called my dr & she said I could take a couple benedryl to help me sleep tonight so that's exciting! Hopefully it will help some.
KK...
Yay Day 5! The sleep takes patience....Healing and recovery take patience...I learn this every day. Getting out and doing things will help a lot-and you'll be surprised at how different the world looks through your new sober eyes (in a good way) I'm proud of you girl....Keep on going....Lu
i am your biggest fan and cheerleader right now.
you have no idea, really. <33333
Great job...I knew you could do it. I wrote yesterday on your string about sleeping - it is the last thing that comes back, and it will, but slowly. Wednesday night, didn't sleep so good - last night, better. Again, I don't know why one night was better than the other.
You will start sleeping more, at least getting more hours of broken sleep, and your system will adjust. It becomes secondary after a while. Anyway, congratulations on day 5. You're over the worst. On to the best.
Congrats!! Day 5! wooo hooo! Have a great weekend and Stay strong!
Good for you....that is very difficult to do when you are tired and have no energy
My parents r getting me out of the house today to go antique shopping. I'm extremely tired but I can't sleep, so I might as well be active & get out of the house for a bit!
Oh and congrats on day five.....how could i forget to post that
That is great not having any cravings....yes no sleep can really start to get to you
