Tap into the source by which they are guided and be the empty vessel of the Buddha, and right action follows. First things first. Follow the path of least resistance, and don't let your mind get in the way. The fog will lift, and everyday, a new and better life will follow.
As one taps into the source of Power, one intuitively drops those things that pollute the temple of body, mind, and spirit. Not sure if I read your post right, but these where the things you made me think of. Good luck.
