anxiety

I've been feeling very nervous lately awaiting results for a medical problem. What are the symptoms of anxiety? Are shortness of breath and feeling like a knot in the stomach related to this anxiety? I also lost my appetite. I really feel awful. What can I do to get rid of this shortness of breath if related to my nervousness?Thank you for your time to read this posting.

I know how hard it is to deal with nerves and anxiety.  Shortness of breath is definitely a symptom.  The best thing to do is try some yoga breathing if you know it...concentrating on taking deep inhalations and slow exhalations...and calming the mind.   I know for me if I focus too much on how I'm feeling and the things I'm worried about it just escalates the situation. So best to try to do some things that can keep you happy and preoccupied ;-)
I wish you the very best with your medical tests.  It's the same for all of us... they are always nerve-wracking.  But I'm sure you will be fine!
best,
