i had a cantact with a known lady on 03 sep 20122.
contact was a very brief oral given by her (perhaps 40 secs0 and mouth to mouth contact in between again very brief.
a couple of days later i had red spots on my inner thighs.
i asked the lady if she had any sexual issues to which the answer was negative.
incidentally i had also cleaned my gental area wit hair remover a few days back.
when i consulted a doc he told me that it was fungal infection.
however concerned as i was i went in for all tests on the 8th day after contact. all were negative. meantime i had done a lot of research on the net. it was told inone of your forums that tests should be done again in 6 to 12 weeks. hence after six weeks i got my tests done for HSV (same were totally negative after the 8th day test igg .02 and igm .25). after the 6th week test igg showed 4.67 and igm .33. alarmed i went to an advanced faciliti the next dat and i was tested for every thing. every thing was negative but for hsv it was done my ELISA immunoflorecenceradiophotometry - sub fraction M3 was 3.66 and all others (M1, M2 ANd M4 to M7u ) were negative. I was assured by my doc that it was an exposure some 15 years ago or so. concerned i kept worrying and afgter 16/ 17 week got the same thing tested again. this time results wre the same but M 3 was 1.16. in 21 week i had chicken pox which has healed. but my doubts stay, could you shed some light on this method of testing and what are the implications. no outbreaks.

I can't help you with that either. sorry. look for a local group to help you better with testing in your area.
Grace it was on your initial advice that i waited for 6 weeks. this is a type specific as the result is for HSV 1& 2 method used ELISA Immunofluorescence and radiophotometry - M 1 to M7 all undetected except M3 wich was 3.66 after 6 weeks and 1.16 after 16 weeks
I don't think you've had the right testing done yet. double check with your provider to find out if you have been having type specific herpes igg blood testing done.
since you are outside of the US, I"m limited in how I can help you with test results too. perhaps look for a support group near you that has someone like me who is trained in the testing to help you better with your test results too.

for the second test io waited for 16 weeks and as per this test the titer was on the downward graph of the h curve
are you outside of the US?
I also don't think you are getting the right testing done for herpes simplex. You want a type specific herpes igg blood test done. You have to wait at least 3 months post encounter for this testing. You will receive 1 result for hsv1 and 1 result for hsv2.
