Welcome and thanks for the question. 210/110 is VERY high. A prescription for Lisinorpil is a good start, but her doctor really needs to be working her up to find an underlying cause and resolving that issue. I could be idiopathic meaning there is no cause, but she should be checked. She should be on the DASH diet and exercising to bring her levels down, with her doctor's approval.

Having said that, it could have been high due to anxiety as well. Some people have white coat syndrome which causes higher readings when taken by a medical professional.

Is the Lisinopril working?

Let me know and perhaps I can point you in the right direction.

Jon

i have similar problem.  58, overweight and have had HBP since teens and through 20 years military.  controlled for the past 10 years with 10mg lisinopril.  had thyroidectomy and RAI Apr-Jun and now on 275mcg Synthroid.  have lost 20+ pounds since July, but my BP which had been running 140/80 or so, as of Mon was 180/100.  Sat for an hour to see it would go down. got to 170/98 and doc said not critical but to get monitor and increased lisinopril to 20mg.  checked 3 times yesterday 151/86, 177/93, 170/91.  today 177/89.  know i have stress and working to control, but have tingling, cralwy feeling on scalp, forehead, nose, ears.  been to neuro and ok.  so must be BP related or something.  what could be raising my BP now after being controlled with meds for so long.
