I will say a special prayer for you. I hope you will soon be on the road again. Donna
LOTS of positive thoughts for you.... tons of strength and hugs!
I will keep you in my prayers, too. I am sorry you have to go through this. You are not alone and be sure and keep us posted on how you are doing. I wish you the best. Marie
I will be sending you positive thoughts and saying prayers that everything goes well with round two. You sound like such a positive person, and that, as we know, is half the battle. I do hope you'll continue to check in and let us know how it's going. Best wishes to you!
Gail
I like your spin.............Prayers, Sherry
Most of the year we enjoy the company of our friends here in Brady. We attend the First Methodist Church. I go to Church Circle & Red Hat once a month, weekly I go to Bible Study, Happy Hour at Sonic with a close friend , lunch with two other couples after church, and my Coffee group meets every Thursday morning for donuts & coffee. Once a month we go out with a group and celebrate whoever's birthday hits that month. The RVing is hit and miss. This year we went to Branson, Gettysburg, Niagara Falls, and Mackinac Island. It took us 30 days for that trip. We had a great time but needed to get back for doctor appointments and other committments. I love the trips but am always anxious to come home and get a regular routine going. I also miss my Brady activities.
Thank you for your concern and for being my new friend. Prayers, Sherry
In April of 2007 we headed with our RV group to Disney World. I thought I was the picture of health. We ran around Disney World like 10 year olds. When we were on our way back to Texas, I started noticing the bloating and nausea but really thought it was all the wrong foods, etc, that had been occurring during the trip. I went to my PCP to get a laxative since the over the counter brands weren't working. That's when they did the CA 125 and sent me to San Angelo to the hospital. San Angelo doctors followed up with a CT. They also removed 5-6 liters of fluid. I lost 12 lbs. (That part was great, anyway.) Then I chose a hema/onc and a gyn/onc/surgeon. I took 4 carbo/taxol treatments, had a complete hysterectomy, took 5 more carbo/taxol treaments before they were satisfied. At that time my CA 125 was 10. By June it had risen to 40, and the 1st of Aug. it was 92. Both doctors agree that it is definitely time to knock this thing out before it multiplies. So...........Friday is the day! We are hoping for only 3 treatments this time. I am so grateful for family, friends, docs, and drugs!! Prayers, Sherry
Sherry,
I too am sorry that you are having to go through this again. But I will keep you in my prayers that it works and those numbers start coming down right away.
I am just curious though as to why your numbers got so high before your Dr did anything?
Chris
I'm very sorry that you will have to be going through chemo again. I read your profile and notice that you and your husband are skipping around the country in an RV. Do you enjoy that life? I've always wondered how that would be. I sure hope you will soon be able to "hit the road."
I also read that your CA 125 is 19,000. I guess your cells are truly sensitive to the CA 125 test. They will come tumbling down with the chemo. I hope you will keep us informed as to how you are doing. This community will be a great support for you if you choose to stay with us and share your battle.

You go, girl! Give those cancer cells the run for their money!

Be strong and I send you good thoughts and prayers..........

I am praying for you Sherry. I like what you said about the Lord never giving us more than we can handle. Actually, I have another spin on it.....He never gives us more than HE can handle! Do take care.
