Will get name off my gyno oncologist for you all. Still waiting on results. All i know is the current ca125 uses one protein to test for cancer, the new test being released uses 5 proteins in our blood and is now going to be used as a screening test for OVCA with a 99% success rate and can detect stage 1 development. Just wish they would make it free as I can't see it being that effective unless they make it widely available to women. My goal is to see it being recommended with young adults and women's 2 yearly pap smears. I am currently writing letters and pushing hard! Hope everyone is doing well.

Hmm this is interesting. I hope we can find more information on this. Speaking of Australia, has anyone heard from Helen?

I'm very sorry if I have forgotten anything that has gone down with her, my memory is shot these days. It's been a long time since I have seen a post from her.

Mel,
I also hope that your test goes well tomorrow (actually today now)
I have a few other friends in Australia and I am glad to see that ovarian cancer is being recognized all over the world.
Please let us know all about it.

No, it isn't in the states either yet unless it is being called something else.  Quest Diagnostic (where I have my labs done) has a new one though that I don't know to much about.  They had one at LabCorp but the FDA made them quit using it. Go figure

Good to see you back sweetie.

Hi Mel,

This came up on the forum a few weeks ago when it was being released here and at that time it hadn't been scheduled for release overseas. Hopefully it will be in the very near future!

I love the packaging, only because they are using the Teal Ribbon in place of the first letter, replacing the "O". Once their marketing is in full swing, those little ribbons will be everywhere. Thats got to be a good thing....

I hope you "fail" the test tomorrow and continue to keep failing!!!!!!

Cheers...Janet
