Could I have ovarian cancer?

Im 20 years old. very overweight but generally fit andhealthy( i play lots of sports)

for the past two years my menstrual has been extremely irregular eg going 8 months without one then going 26 weeks with one with only a 2 week break in between. i have also felt constantly bloated

for the past fortnight i have been very unwell including nausea, shortness of breath (feels as though not getting enough air then end up gasping for air), back pain, leg pain, lower abdomenal pains, gas, both constpation and diarriah. on my 26th week this all started at the same time as an extremely heavy menstraul (even though i had been bleeding constant for 12 weeks prior), my head keeps telling me there is something sinister going on. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow and a pelvic ultrasound on the 17th.

Thanks

None of us are DR's so we cannot tell you what is wrong with you. But I am glad to see that you are not ignoring things and seeing your Dr. You know your own body better than anyone and if you feel that something is not right then you need to do something about it. I am also glad to see that your Dr is listening and has scheduled your pelvic ultrasound.
I know that you must be scared and worried but try not to get yourself into panic mode. Stay busy until you see and talk to the Dr. and make sure you tell him everything that you have told us and let him know how worried that you are. Stay on him to make sure that he follows through to find the cause of your problems.

Hi there, It is good you are seeing your dr. but truly, I doubt I you have ovarian cancer.  It is quite rare despite all of us on this board.  If you are concerned you can ask for a transvaginal ultrasound which will show any mass on your ovary. If you don't have a complex mass, ovarian cancer can pretty much be ruled out.  Anyway, it doesn't mean you don't have hormonal issues or things that need to be addressed.  Just be persistent with your dr. that he will give you the tests needed to get to the bottom of your problem. I truly don't think ovarian cancer is your issue though.  For me, I was blown away by the news. I had frequent urination and menstrual pain but was shocked when I was told I had a tumor.  Keep investigating.  At you next drs. appt. try to get the ultrasound to see if you have an mass.  Best wishes to you!

I'm glad that you're seeing your doctor, and have an appointment for the ultrasound.
Tell your doctor that you'd also like to have a CA125 blood test, I assume he'll be ordering other blood work tomorrow.
Good luck and keep us posted.
