Vaginal and anal tearing/fissures

For the last 6 months I have been getting tearing (look like paper cuts) in my vaginal area (1/4 to 1/2 inch long). I get the tears at least once or twice a week and they last from 2-4 days, go away for a few days and then come back. They continue to occur in the same locations;
1. Inside the vaginal lips on the sides almost always in the crease (between the labia minora and majora?)
2. Between the anus and vaginal opening (perineum)
3. Above the clitoris in the "hood" area.

This tearing is not related to intercourse since my husband and I are unable to do that due to the pain it causes me.  There is no real pain otherwise. I am getting some minor bleeding when I poop due to the tears in the anal area. The entire vaginal area is very itchy and if I scratch or rub the skin at all I often give myself one of these tears.  It seems as if the skin is very thin. There are no other symptoms that I am aware of.

I have had blood work and a biopsy done. Some of the things that I was tested for were; genital herpes, lichen sclerosus, lichen simplex chronicus, lichen planus, vulvar vestibulitis.  All results came back negative. The biopsy tested positive for "healing ulcers". My doctor does not seem to know what the problem is and is contacting a specialist in Lebanon, NH.

My Dr. prescribed an estrogen cream which did not seem to work. I have not been on any other medication for this. I am looking for some guidance as to what this condition may be and how to treat it. My husband & I want to get pregnant soon but I would like to resolve this issue first. Please help.

Orig I had tears that it started the healing process with meds, they became scab-like and went away, which makes sense. All cuts turn into scabs.
I had swabs taken in the cuts ( which hurt like hell, I swear if I couldn't tolerate pain I might have passed out). The test resulted positive for Genital Herpes.
Ladies, I recommend asking your doctor about Valtrex (or Generic). It gradually went away in the 2 weeks curse of meds.
I do still have some itching, but no painful cuts, sores, no weird discharge...
Also, I've found that I have very sensitive skin. So I've adopted the routine of wiping with sensitive, non-scented baby wipes after every pee and bowel movement. I lightly tap dry with a soft tissue before pulling up my underwear.
I found out who gave me this virus. He admitted it to me when I told him he needed to be tested because of my discovery. We had a 2 year long, trusting and loving relationship, yet he was "too embarrassed" to tell me this secret and thought he couldn't pass it because he hasn't had an outbreak in a long time and he has medication.
Women, who claim they have never had sex yet may be suffering from Herpes, you can get it if there is any contact of bodily fluids. You can contract it even when wearing a condom.
Don't brush it off because you may be virgins.
I experienced such tormenting pain for about 2 weeks, I wouldn't wish it on my enemies.
Go to the doctor, take a swab culture, and blood tests. If you do not have insurance or money, go to a clinic!

guys get this sometimes on the shaft and testies. We call it "jock itch". We take care by drying well after a shower. Brush teeth, brush hair, anything to buy time before we put on our underwear. We also use antifungal spray or ointment. Lotrimin is for atheletes foot but works well.

SUCCESS!!!  I had this problem for a year and tried everything and no doctor did anything.  I stoppes using pads, tampons (i use a diva cup), laundry detergent and fabric softener (make my own from castile bar soap grated with baking soda & washing soda) and only all natural unscented soap and shampoo (in case it drips down there when i rinse) without sulfates or harsh chemicals, and unprocessed toilet paper and no wet wipes (sometimes witch hazel tucks hemroid pads), no ky jelly, only spit!  AND IT CLEARED UP AND WENT AWAY IN 4 DAYS!!!

I work in a sex clinic and I am as frustrated as anyone at the fact that some people do have skin tears and we dont know why. Splits in skin could be herpes (but this is ususally painful to touch and more like blisters).  I wondered if anyone with splits has had a skin swab taken for microscopy, culture and sensitivities.  Please post with results if you do and we will see if there is a link.

As regards Itching it is usually either thrush (there are many types so you need to know the type and sensitivities), Lichen schlerosis, Cytolytic Vaginosis, Lactobacillosis, Warts, or worms. I am interested to read about the pelvic floor I will read more about it.
