It doesn't matter if your still in active addiction just looking for the courage to reach out or if you have been clean for decades....wed love to hear about it. Use this as a platform to encourage others, offer hope, or draw hope and encouragement from others. After all....recovery is a we thing.

104 days clean off oxycodone!! Everyday gets a tiny bit easier!! Congrats to all you with the clean time,and to the ones who made the awesome choice to quit!! Side note: "staase" I read your post,so awesome dropping over 80mgs,but I'd deff re-think taking them pills again for "just when the pain comes" unfortunately it's hard to work that way. You're body and mind will be right back to wanting more and more until you could be back up to 100mgs and not even realize it happend! Good luck to you though!! :))

Happy March, Everyone! I cannot wait for the warm weather, so sick of the snow and cold here on the East Coast!  Anyway, think I am at 2 weeks clean from an OxyCotin/Percocet addiction that spanned the past decade but had definitely progressed over the past 5 years. 979 days off street methadone, I was told in my first weeks, " It keeps getting better. I heard that from a man with 50 years clean time. I coukdnt wrap my mind around that I woukd keep improving for 50 years. I thought, "I'll be my old self again and that's as good as it could get. Nope, I was wrong again. It's been slow going, but my life is still getting better and better. I once was blind, but now I see, I will never be the old me, new and improved is what I be. Never stop growing ya'll!

406 days here! When I first started this journey I had no idea what changes were before me because this is so much more than just stopping taking pills. I feel like a flower bud just beginning to bloom. If this 58 year old overweight, abused as a child, anxiety  producing woman can do this you can too. Today is day 85 off of the pain meds!!!  Has been an interesting journey so far and I find myself looking forward to the rest of this life!!!  Thanks to all of you who have helped me through!  I couldnt have done it without you!!!!  Congrats to all who are just starting to think about stopping and to those who are in their first few days!!!  It really is a much better life!!

I found this forum when searching online for ways to detox off of pain pills at home. I'm not clean yet but have gone from an 80-100 mg per day hydro habit down to now 11.25... next step for me is to get below my actual prescribed amount which is 10mgs/day, and to only have the meds when the pain truly calls for it. Not taking them solely to "feel normal".  Congrats to all who have sobered up and good luck to all who are seeking to!!! :)
