Thanks 4 ur comments. Sleeping is ok but I am also on seroquel still for BP. I am having RLS which I loath but I am trying to push through. I felt great last two days but I am feeling achy today bc I am stopping ultram. I would say the worst part of this whole thing has been RLS..it can really drive me bonkers-I get up walk around, use heating pad Etc. But it is cutting my sleep short even with seroquel. Talk to u soon.

Hi Karefree61 welcome to the forum ....you posted on a old thread it is from 2011 the best bet is to go the top of the page and hit the orange button marked post a question let me get a few more details and I minght be able to help 1st off what was your highest dose and did you quit from that or taper?? what was your dose when you quit ?? and wow long where you on it and your age this all plays into what your recovery is going to look like I came off 150mg over a 7yr run on the stuff I was 47 when I detoxes my recovery was slow and I finely came around in 90 days just let it be known this is not for the light at heart you got to want it bad but if you do it is so so worth it good luck and God bless start your own thread and you will get a lot more responces we have many members who where methadone addicts............Gnarly...........................................
Typically the physical stuff lasts around 5 to 7 days (I wasn't so typical as mine went on for about 2 weeks). And that's when the mental side of withdrawal really kicks in but the symptoms can be managed by a lot of different home remedies. What is your intent here? To give up all the drugs? If that's the case, it is possible to quit cold turkey - YES you will be uncomfortable for a while, but it will pass. Kind of like a really bad flu. And as I said, then you can manage those symptoms with various things - supplements, vitamins, and most importantly, some form of aftercare (i.e therapy, NA/AA, addictionologists, etc.)
And there are a lot of members here who have experience with the sub route, and I'm sure they can offer more insight into that process. It tends to get pretty quiet here on the weekends though but keep checking in I'm sure someone with that experience will respond to you.
