Today is Day 4, but I have a true test coming over Christmas break

I was very addicted to Lortabs and was taking over 200 mg a day for almost 10 years. Well today is day 4 and I'm feeling MUCH better than the last 3 days!! I'm finally past the hard part. BUT, when I go back home for Christmas, I have friends and family who take Lortabs (and are addicted) and everyday I've been thinking about getting "just two pills" from someone. But I know that's what made me relapse the last 3 times I quit . . so please, someone knock some sense into me!! I know I shouldn't take anymore, but it's the lie "Just 2 won't hurt."

Any advice on what I can do to stay strong?

Orion~you have given some of the best advice to others here on this forum. You are such a wonderful person.  I know that you will get through this.  We are all here for you and if you get the craving just drop us a line.  Good luck with the Holidays. Keep posting

Thanks for ur advise on my question i kno i my heart that she will not stop unless she wants to and all that goes along with it. My cuz says chirstmas is one of his BIGGEST triggers along with beign at his mothers house. Stay strong you CAN do this!!

Holidays are usually a struggle but if you are dedicated to your recovery you will make it thru.  You are in control of you now......not your addiction.        sara

If you can make it back home with no set backs, think of how GRE8 and PROUD you will be, and I promise that will be a way better feeling than those "2 pills" will make you feel. Good luck and have a wonderful,safe and sober christmas.
