Keep on trying! I am sorry you had to quit your classes. I've gone back and forth with myself over the same thing. I am in school and on a taper and it's just now beginning to get a lot tougher as I go lower. I haven't long to go, but enough that this semester could be ruined if I can't keep up. I have trouble with my cognitive abilities after 3 or 4 nights of 2-3 hours of restless sleep in a row, and it's really only killing me in my Portuguese class. Practicing a foreign language really takes a lot of focus and brain power (for me anyway) I have fought that same battle in my head as to whether I should quit school, but I am almost at the finish line, so I will hold out as long as possible. Quitting my taper is not an option for me though. Also, I am not going CT like I assume you are. I give you so much credit for taking the time to get this together and then giving your all to school. You sound like me with the running, but I don't play b-ball. Get active asap too, as it will help.

Yup this time my wing's will stay and I'm going to continue and fly. I am straight and flat out DONE. I am sick going back and forth with myself and I was doing okay at first going school. I had to drop the class due to this situation cannot go school and being an addict and all u think about is when class going end and not doing "Homework" which will not work out well. Sigh...I just hope I will be sucessful and make it at least on this and I know I put my effort in school and a part time job as well. I will remember this website and esp you Sarah to welcome me with open arms in this website and checking up on me. I mean there is only a handful of people that message me see how I'm doing. I'm really grateful for that and makes me even quit even more by showing support and caring as well. I'll do the same to others as well when I'm done with my withdrawls and keep it moving and just work and save and make myself proud and everyone else.

Agreed, also I am now my cousin only person I open up to and he's been through 7 yrs ago and now he's making good money drive a Lexus and got a good paying job and what he wanted and off weekends and sticked to school as well like literally he went full time and even summer school took couple classes for couple years that's how far then  transfer U of H university to finish up for his Bachelor Degree for Acct and that's what I was thinking about doing myself or Bio, Business. Bachelor Degree can open doors for you a lot of it for good paying jobs that's why I am done and I want to get done with school. I'll probably cry haha like OMFG I've made it!

Good use of time. I have learned that pride and well managed time can take precident over addictive behaviors. Like the saying goes " idle hands are the devils playground". Congrats on your first week.

Great that you've gone through the first week! You're on the home stretch now. Enjoy your new found freedom! Today my tracker says 501 days clean from opiates along with everything else. But really, the first one to get up in the morning has been clean the longest. Recovery is always based on the 24 hour, one day at a time plan :-)
