For me, I went the AA/NA route, and it has worked amazingly. Go to a few meetings, find someone who has what you want there, ask them to be your sponsor and work the steps with them. Through doing this, the obsession to use is removed and a new incredible life is created.

You say it seems easy. It's simple, not easy. I'll tell you this though, at 590 days clean of all mind altering substances, it is incredibly easy to stay clean today. It works if you work it.

I meant to say not many can taper. It takes a lot of control and if we could control our usage for any amount of time we wouldn't be here.

If you want to get back on sub just wait until your feeling a little sick and take the sub. I've been doing the same thing you are..going off sub to take oxy then going back on. But I'm sick of it and have decided to go ct off oxy (because sub wds are worse then wds from percs or oxy)

What do YOU want to do? If it's to get clean then you gotta bite the bullet and go ct (or taper..but not many ppl, myself included, have the discipline to taper. no matter what route you take you need AFTERCARE. I quit last year and thought sheer willpower alone would keep me clean. I was wrong and relapsed.

You gotta do some serious soul searching. If your not ready to give them up then the lesser of two evils is sub. Go back on and work on a taper while implementing some recovery care. If you are ready then read up on the Thomas Recipe, wipe your calendar clean for a week and go cold turkey. You'll get tons of support here and a few days of feeling like poo is worth gaining back your freedom.

Let us know what you decide. There's no easy way out. A year of screwing around with sub and methadone has taught me that. I wasted a year trying to escape the inevitable..withdrawals and recovery is rough but doable. But it takes every ounce of your strength to do it. You gotta be seriously commited to your goal of getting off drugs. You got your whole life ahead of you. Your young and there's never a better time then now to get it done. There's no life in these pills, just the means to self destruction.

No magic pill.  Just have to deal with it. It's hard but doable. People survive it.  Need will power and you have to really want to stop.
Good luck

Ps how can you take sub and perc? Doesn't that make u sick?

It's not easy nor magical. If there was a pill we could take to just stop, we would all abuse that. You have to really want to stop.  It sounds like a good idea to say I need to quit but when it gets a little tough, you need resolve, help, and some type of aftercare to really have success.

There is a lot of help avaliabe to you here...............just ask.
